With 4 Humorous Speeches and 7 contestants for the Table Topics competition, this was a fun filled evening well managed by Dan Webb as Competition Chairperson for the Humorous Speeches competition and Hazel Montague the Table Topics.

All four Humorous Speeches were good enough for the area competition.  The author was amazed that David Singleton-Smith who was the first contestant was actually beaten into 2nd place by Tony Peters.  Well done too to both Simon Bell and Kenny Jones, the other contestants.

The seven contestants for Table Topics contestants included Jane Hullcoop, competing before she has performed her ice-breaker and Dan Webb who came 2nd in his first competition.  Steve Osborne won on this occasion.
