Five Club Members travelled to Stubbington to the Area Humorous Speech and Table Topics competition on a beautiful September afternoon.

Disappointment.  Tony Peters performed his excellent speech exceptionally well only to be beaten into 2nd place by a member from the local club who is planning to become a professional speaker.  Bearing in mind this was the first competition that Tony has entered, he did exceptionally well.

The Table Topics subject was particularly exacting and was not won by Steve Osborne.  

It was good to be involved - to participate; a lot was learnt about these competitions and it is interesting to meet members from other Toastmaster clubs.
