Cottonwood Speakers New Year for committee members commences on the 1st July!
Each year a new President is elected and for the year 2009-2010 Steve Osborne, formerly Vice President Public Relations; is the President.
Steve stated he felt lucky to be President this year with such a strong Committee and vibrant Membership.
Shirley Thompson (VP Education), Andrew Collinson (VP Membership), Robin Thirlwell (Treasurer), Dan Mills (Secretary), Tony Peters (Sergeant-at-Arms) make up the rest of the Committee. Shirley, Andrew and Robin are continuing in the roles they handled so well in 2008-2009; their experience is much appreciated.

Hazel Montague took her place in the International Speech Contest. An emotional account of 2 Suffragettes!
Steve Graham represented us in the Evaluation contest, against some tough competition, including Jan Collings.

Fancy dress add a special touch to an unusual evening of only Table topics; speaking on a surprise subject 'off the cuff' for 1-2 minutes. Well done to Steve Osborne and Dave Hassall for presenting the topics - one each for every attendee. A great evening! |
