Welcome to Hallmark Speakers - Dorsets' Public Speaking Club PDF Print E-mail

Public Speaking DorsetOur aim to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which members have the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, fostering self-confidence and personal growth through public speaking and presentation skills.

We help people from all walks of life become better able to speak in public.  Each meeting is carefully designed to provide everyone with the opportunity to speak and receive feedback - although no-one has to speak unless they wish to do so!

GUESTS ARE VERY WELCOME - Please visit 'Next Meeting' page, contact or telephone Gill Hale  01202 531 298 to say you will be coming along. You will be made welcome and enjoy a fun evening in a friendly and supportive environment, and can come to two meetings free of charge. When you decide to join, membership is only a one-off joining fee of £20 then £10 per month by standing order (covering two meetings each month).

Cottonwood International Speech and Evaluation Contestsd PDF Print E-mail

Visitors are welcome to join us for the our first contests of 2014 - an opportunity to see some experienced speakers and evaluators hoping to win through to the next stage of the contests, and then the next, and the next.  The final contest for the International Speech contest takes place in the USA in August so the sky is the limit for our contestents.

The Toastmasters approach provides a step by step method of developing your skill as a speaker through its 10 project Communication and Leadership and Development Programme, followed by unlimited opportunities for advanced speech development projects.

You will also learn to speak at short notice, chair meetings, evaluate other speakers, compete in speech contests, as well as enjoying a regular fun and entertaining night out with like-minded people!
